| Click to [prank] call! |
Google Local has a neat new feature called click-to-call, where after you look up a business, you can click a link, input your phone number, and then Google calls you and the business simultaneously with VOIP. Sounds pretty cool, right? Well, according to Techcrunch, Google took click to call down for a while today after complaints of prank calling. What amuses me most is how Techcrunch put it:
I was excited about the service when I first reviewed it but didn’t even think about using it to make the local Republican party office call the local porn store until reading about the idea on other blogs. Oh, to be a few years younger... ;)Labels: funny, google |
